URRT Outstanding Paper Award for Young Engineers/Researchers 2015

Urban Rail Transit will select 3 papers for the URRT Outstanding Paper Award for Young Engineers/Researchers 2015 by the end of March 2016. A certificate and a cash award of US $300 will be presented to each winner.

About the journal

Urban Rail Transit is a peer-reviewed, international, interdisciplinary and open-access journal published under the SpringerOpen brand. The journal provides a platform for scientists, researchers and engineers involved in urban rail transit to publish their original, significant articles on topics in urban rail transportation. It is intended to promote academic discussions and technical exchanges between peers in the field.
This journal is kindly sponsored by Beijing Jiaotong University and Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd. Accordingly, authors can publish in the journal without any additional charges.

Journal award - Instructions for authors

The URRT Outstanding Paper Award for Young Engineers/Researchers 2015 welcomes papers on all aspects of Urban Rail Transit. Both theoretically and practically oriented papers are welcome, especially those papers that present solid, innovative and high-quality research results. All entries for the Award are also treated as submissions to URRT, and will undergo an expedited refereeing and publication process. To be eligible for the Award, the first author of the submitted paper must be 35 years of age or younger on January 1st in the year of the award.
Students submitting papers with their advisor(s) included as authors must accompany their submission with a letter from the advisor(s) specifying the student’s contribution with regard to
  • defining the problem that resulted in the paper
  • conducting the research itself, and
  • writing the paper.
The Award considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that:
1) The manuscript has only been submitted to URRT; it is not under consideration, peer review or in press, and has not been accepted for publication or previously published elsewhere.
2) The manuscript is your own original work, and does not duplicate any other previously published work.
3) The manuscript contains nothing that is abusive, defamatory, libelous, obscene, fraudulent or illegal.
Please note that URRT uses CrossCheck™/Turnitin software to screen manuscripts for plagiarized material. By submitting your manuscript to URRT you are agreeing to any necessary plagiarism checks your manuscript may have to undergo during the peer-review and production processes. Each manuscript will normally be reviewed by no less than two referees assigned by the Judges because of their expertise in the field concerned, experience in producing a balanced review, and ability to make a firm and fair recommendation in keeping with the institution’s policy.
Only English-language papers are accepted.
