Manuscript Submission 

Contributions should be sent to the editorial board of the Russian language journal (not to Springer) at the following address:

Manuscript preparation 

1. Papers may be submitted to the journal in English or Russian.
2. All papers are subjected to scientific peer review.
3. All papers must be submitted in electronic form.
4. The material should be presented in the following order:
a) The UDC number (universal decimal classification – see: www.udcc.org );
b) Authors’ initials and names;
c) Title of the paper;
d) An abstract (not exceeding 10 lines) which should be most informative, giving clear indications of the nature and range of the results contained in the paper, and should not duplicate the conclusions;
e) Body of the text;
f) Complete list of symbols (in an alphabetical order) with dimensions and sub- and superscripts with explanation of their origin;
g) References;
h) Tables;
i) Captions to figures with all dimensions indicated;
j) Figures.
5. All figures and photographs should be presented in an electronic form as individual files in suitable graphic formats.
6. Tables, each bearing a title should be self-explanatory and numbered consecutively. The same information should not be reproduced in both tables and figures.
7. An exponential function should be given as exp z rather than ez .
8. All structural formulas are to be numbered in one consecutive series of Arabic numerals and so cited in the text. Please avoid inclusion of intermediate steps unless absolutely necessary.
9. References to cited literature should be grouped in numerical order of appearance and the following formats applied:
For articles:
A. J. Reynolds, The prediction of turbulent Prandtl and Schmidt numbers, Int. J. Heat Mass
Transfer, 18, No. 6, 1055-1069 (1975).
For books:
G. K. Batchelor, An Introduction to Fluid Dynamics, Cambridge Univ. Press, Cambridge (1967).
References to unpublished works are not allowed.
10. Authors are requested to give the following contact information: First name, Last name, affiliation, exact mailing address, telephone number and email address.
11. Authors will be informed of registration, acceptance or rejection of the paper by email. From the date of registration until final publication, the author must be ready to promptly answer all questions which may arise during editing by email. Before publication, the proofs of the paper are sent to the author by email. The author must promptly inform the Editorial office on principal changes indicating the page and place of corrections to be incorporated. It is worthy to send a revised, verified or corrected copy of the paper together with the explanatory letter.
12. The date of the paper receipt is that at which an original paper is received. The date of the receipt of revision is also indicated on the front page.
13. The request of the Editorial office to revise the paper does not mean that the paper is accepted for publication since it will again be subjected to reviewing and considered by the Editorial Board. If the paper is not accepted for publication, the Editorial office informs the author of the rejected paper on the referees' comments and the official decision of the Editorial Board. The author of the rejected paper has the right to ask the Editorial Board to reconsider the possibility of publication of the paper.
14. The author transfers to the Editorial office of the Journal the exclusive right to reproduce and distribute the paper as periodicals and online and to subsequently publish it in the Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics.
15. The information about the authors whose papers were published in the journal can be included in the database of an electronic (online) version of the journal.

    The Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics publishes the results of theoretical and experimental studies in the following fields:
    Heat and mass transfer;
    Theory of heat conduction;
    Thermodynamics of irreversible processes;
    Theory of drying;
    Heat and mass transfer in disperse and porous systems;
    The main focus of this publication is to highlight papers detailing with important, modern day problems, which challenge Scientists in the fields of Technology, Engineering and Physics.

    Journal of Engineering Physics and Thermophysics is an English translation of the Russian language journal Inzhenerno-fizicheskii Zhurnal, a publication of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The English edition has been published since the very first volume of the Russian journal appeared in 1965. Both editions are published bimonthly. As the entire content is available in both Russian and English, this valuable resource can reach a global audience, thus facilitating international communication between researchers involved in similar studies across the world, this is further facilitated by the online availability of the journal through www.SpringerLink.com.

    The Russian Volume Year is published in English from April.
    All articles are peer-reviewed.
