FLINS 2016

A special issue on decision-making theory and applications using fuzzy sets has been published in “Complex and Intelligent Systems” on some selected papers presented at FLINS 2016 (Conference on Uncertainty Modelling in Knowledge Engineering and Decision Making) in Roubaix, France between the dates August 24–26, 2016. Papers were selected after a peer review process with at least three reviewers per paper. The special issue provides some useful resource of ideas, techniques, and methods for the research on the theory and applications of fuzzy decision-making. The Guest Editor was Prof. Cengiz Kahraman from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey.

ICCA 2017

The International Conference on Computer and Applications (Second Edition) will be held in Dubai – United Arab Emirates on 06-07th September 2017. The scientific committee will select the best presented papers for submission to the journal of Complex & Intelligent Systems (SPRINGER). This special issue will focus on recent trends in computer applications including evolutionary systems, data mining, machine learning, data science, multiagent, simulation, visualization, and knowledge discovery. The deadline for submission is October 22nd, 2017. Please follow the hyperlink ‘Submit Online’ on the journal webpage and upload your manuscript files following the ‘Instructions for Authors’. In the journal electronic submission system, you will find the voice ‘ICCA2017’ active in the drop-down menu, to be selected when submitting. Any inquiries can be directed to the leading volume Editor Prof. Jihad Mohamad ALJA’AM (Qatar University, jaam@qu.edu.qa, jaljaam@gmail.com). Guest Editors are Prof. Abdul Hamid Sadka (Brunel University London, United Kingdom) and Prof. Abdulmotaleb El Saddik (Ottawa University, Canada).
