Peter G. M. de Jong, Ph.D., holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Center for Innovation in Medical Education at Leiden University Medical Center, The Netherlands. In this position he is involved in the evaluation and innovation of teaching and learning, with a special interest in motivation and engagement of students in blended online teaching strategies. He supports his group and local faculty in their scholarly work, he is active as peer reviewer in several international journals and he leads the abstract review process of two large educational conferences.

Editorial Board

The Editorial Board consists of 14 Associate Editors under direction of the Editor-in-Chief. They oversee the review process and communicate with corresponding authors regarding revisions providing detailed and constructive feedback. They provide advice regarding final decisions, and work with the Editor-in-Chief to draw up and implement editorial policy to meet the highest ethical standards for journal publication.

    Medical Science Educator is the successor of the journal JIAMSE. It is the peer-reviewed publication of the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE). The Journal offers all who teach in healthcare the most current information to succeed in their task by publishing scholarly activities, opinions, and resources in medical science education. Published articles focus on teaching the sciences fundamental to modern medicine and health, and include basic science education, clinical teaching, and the use of modern education technologies. The Journal provides the readership a better understanding of teaching and learning techniques in order to advance medical science education.
