This year, the Arabian Journal of Geosciences (AJGS) celebrates its 10th anniversary.
On this occasion, the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the AJGS will organize - in collaboration with Springer - the 1st Conference of the Arabian Journal of Geosciences (1st CAJG).
The conference will be an occasion to endorse the journal’s long-held reputation for attracting many important studies from the Middle East, Euro-Mediterranean, Africa, Asia and other parts of the world.
The dynamic four-day conference in a stimulating environment will provide attendees with opportunities to share their latest unpublished findings and learn the newest studies. The event will also allow attendees to meet and discuss with the journal’s editors and reviewers
The 1st Conference of the Arabian Journal of Geosciences will be held in Hammamet, Tunisia, 12 - 15 November, 2018.

Track 1. Climate, paleoclimate and paleoenvironmental changes
Track 2. Geo-informatics, remote sensing, geodesy
Track 3. Geoenvironmental engineering, geomechanics and geotechnics, geohazards
Track 4. Geography, geoecology, geoarcheology, geotourism
Track 5. Geophysics, seismology
Track 6. Hydrology, hydrogeology, hydrochemistry
Track 7. Mineralogy, geochemistry, petrology and volcanology
Track 8. Petroleum engineering and petroleum geology/geochemistry
Track 9. Sedimentology, stratigraphy, paleontology, geomorphology, pedology
Track 10. Structural geology, geodynamics, marine geology

Conference Proceedings

All accepted short papers after the pre-conference peer-review process will be published as chapters in the conference proceedings by Springer.

Publication in Special Issues

The aim of the conference is to publish after the conference a set of high-quality topical collections (special issues) on cross-cutting themes of Earth sciences in the Arabian Journal of Geosciences. Authors of the selected papers will be invited after the conference to submit an extended version of their conference papers in the AJGS.
Authors of some excellent papers will be also invited to submit an extended version in the following journals:
International Journal of Earth Sciences
Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration
Earth Systems and Environment .

Awards

The scientific committee will provide awards for the best paper from each conference track. The award consists of a Springer Award for Outstanding Paper and a gift voucher for the amount of 300 euros which can be used to purchase Springer books. All winners will be presented with a commemorative certificate and will be acknowledged during the awards luncheon.
