The Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration is indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) database of Clarivate Analytics’ (formerly Thomson Reuters’) Web of Science (ISI). This ESCI indexation is the first step before the coverage in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) database which will allow the journal to receive an Impact Factor. Indexing the journal in ESCI will improve the journal’s visibility and provides it with a mark of quality.
Moreover, the Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration is discoverable via the Web of Science (ISI) with full citation counts. Articles published in the journal are now considered for our authors’ H-Index calculation.
The Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration is indexed/abstracted in Google Scholar, CNKI, EBSCO Discovery Service, OCLC WorldCat Discovery Service, ProQuest-ExLibris Primo, ProQuest-ExLibris Summon. It is also under evaluation for indexation in Scopus.

JOURNAL’S CONFERENCE

To make societies and decision makers aware of the importance of integrating environmental considerations into their respective activities, Springer and the Editors of the Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration (EMJEI) invite you to take part at their biennial Mediterranean scientific gathering that aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and the fostering of collaborations to improve the consistency of environmental management efforts between the countries of the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean.

To prepare your contribution, please follow the Author Guidelines before submitting your paper on the Submission Platform. The deadline for submission is 15 May 2019.
Only after acceptance of your paper, you’ll be invited to fill the Registration form. There will also be a possibility to register without presenting a paper after 25 June 2019 or to publish your paper in the proceedings without attending the conference (see Important Dates and Registration).

Conference Proceedings 

All accepted short papers after the pre-conference peer-review process will be published in the conference proceedings by Springer. The proceedings will be edited by international experts in the field (see Publications).
The proceedings of the 1st EMCEI published by Springer in 2017 was indexed in the Web of Science CPCI-S database.

Special Issues 

The aim of the conference is to highlight the newest research. Thus, we plan to publish a set of high-quality topical collections (special issues) on cross-cutting themes of earth and environmental sciences. Authors of the best papers will be invited after the conference to submit an extended version of their papers in the following Springer journals:

Past Edition of EMCEI 

Organised by the Editors of the Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration in collaboration with Springer. The 1st Euro-Mediterranean Conference for Environmental Integration (EMCEI I) took place to support research and innovation, to promote the exchange of scientific knowledge, and to foster collaboration among Euro-Mediterranean communities in all earth and environmental science fields. The event was held in Sousse, Tunisia on 22–25 November 2017.

    Aims & Scope:

    Euro-Mediterranean Journal for Environmental Integration (EMJEI) is a regional peer-reviewed journal that presents original research studies and reviews in all areas of the Environmental Sciences from the Mediterranean and surrounding regions.

    The journal highlights research into potential solutions for environmental concerns and protection requirements on the basis of innovative approaches that contribute to preserving a sustainable environment in the region.

    In particular, the journal’s goal is to provide a scientific forum that promotes the exchange of knowledge and fosters collaborations between the countries of the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean.

    In addition, the journal seeks to make decision makers from related sectors aware of the importance of integrating environmental considerations into their respective activities.

      Environmental Integration:

      EMJEI seeks to make decision makers from related sectors aware of the importance of integrating environmental considerations into their respective activities. The integration of environmental concerns into policy decisions must be intensified in order to move towards sustainable development. In this context, the journal supports the European Commission – Environment and other official organizations in the region in their mission to protect, preserve and improve the Euro-Mediterranean environment for present and future generations.

      Indexation:

      EMJEI is published by Springer on behalf of the University of Sfax, Tunisia (Association University & Environment - AUE). EMJEI has started publishing since its first volume fin 2016. In 2019, it has achieved successfully the Web of Science ESCI indexation. It is currently under evaluation for indexaqtion by Scopus.
