Springer and Graz University Press enter new co-publishing agreement
New cooperation will yield co-branded publications in all main disciplines covered by Springer Nature
Heidelberg | Graz, 21 September 2017
Springer and Graz University Press (Grazer Universitätsverlag) have signed a new co-publishing agreement to publish co-branded books in English. Through this cooperation, the University of Graz Press will be able to provide its authors with international distribution via SpringerLink, where all content is made available electronically in a digital format. Springer will benefit from the addition of further influential titles to its comprehensive book programme.
The agreement encompasses research monographs, edited volumes, conference proceedings, briefs, handbooks, textbooks and encyclopedias and other references – in all major disciplines covered by Springer Nature. The books will be co-branded with the Springer, Palgrave or Birkhäuser imprint (depending on the subject area of the publication) and Graz University Press.
Thomas Hempfling, Editorial Director Mathematics at Springer Nature said: “We are happy about this new cooperation which focusses on a cross-disciplinary wide spectrum of fields covered by the university. We look forward to supporting Graz University Press and Graz University in selecting and promoting books developed out of their research programmes, lectures, workshops and conferences.”
Peter Scherrer, Professor of Archaeology and Vice Rector of the University of Graz, said: “For us, this agreement is a win-win collaboration because it enables us to share the university´s research output and promote it to the public worldwide. The cooperation is part of our strategy to offer researchers the best opportunities for communicating their results on a global level.”
