Decision is a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal published by the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. It is the oldest management journal from the higher management Institutes in India. The first issue of this journal was brought out in 1974. Since 2013, the journal has been published quarterly from the publication house Springer, with issues in March, June, September and December. Decision was founded to meet the challenges of new areas of Management research during 70’s, and to provide a platform where researchers from across the world, mainly focusing on developing world, can present their work to the larger research community. Over time, the journal has captured the evolution of both functional and fundamental areas in Management Decision process at both national and wider regional contexts for several decades.
