Désirée Claus completed her Master Studies in Chemistry at the Technical University of Darmstadt in 2018 with a focus on Organic Synthesis in Medicinal Chemistry. She then joined Springer in 2019 as a trainee for Chemistry and Life Science and was soon handling the German Chemistry book portfolio. After completing her traineeship in 2020, she became an Associate Editor for the German Chemistry book portfolio. In 2022 she joined the international Chemistry team and is since then additionally handling English language titles in two well-known international review series.
