About the author

Dr. Prabir Mukhopadhyay holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Ergonomics from the University of Limerick, Ireland. He worked at the National Institute of Design Ahmedabad as a faculty in Ergonomics for two years before leaving for his doctoral study at the University of Limerick, Ireland. On his return from Ireland, he joined as Faculty at the Post Graduate campus of the National Institute of Design at Gandhinagar. After working there for around five years, he joined Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur as Faculty in Design Discipline. He has successfully completed several research and consultancy projects, and some of his clients are the Indian Railways, Self Employed Women’s Association, and the United Nation Industrial Development Organization, etc. He has authored five single authored books till date: Ergonomics for the Layman: Application in Design, Ergonomics Principles in Design: An Illustrated Fundamental Approach, Ergonomics in Fashion Design: A Laypersons Approach, Visual Ergonomics for Communication Design: A Laypersons Approach, and Application of Ergonomics in Handicraft: A Laypersons Approach
