About the editors

Amit Kumar, Ph.D., is Forensic Scientist, Entrepreneur, Engineer, Bioinformatician, and IEEE Volunteer. In 2005, he founded the first private DNA testing company, BioAxis DNA Research Centre, in Hyderabad, India, with an American partner. He has vast experience of training 1000+ crime investigation officers and has helped process 750+ criminal and noncriminal cases by offering analytical services. He is Senior Member of the IEEE, has been Vice Chairman of the IEEE India Council, and Chairman of IEEE Hyderabad Section. Amit was awarded IEEE MGA Achievement award, IEEE India council Outstanding Volunteer award in 2020 and 2022 IEEE Region 10 outstanding Volunteer Award . He was Visiting Professor at SJB Research Foundation and Current Chairman of IEEE Region 10 Section chapter committee.

Gheorghita Ghinea is Professor in the Computer Science Department at Brunel University, UK. He received the B.Sc. and B.Sc. (Hons) degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics, in 1993 and 1994,respectively, and the M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, in 1996, from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa; he then received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Reading, UK, in 2000. His work focuses on building adaptable cross-layer end-to-end communication systems incorporating user perceptual requirements. His work has been funded by both national and international funding bodies—all of it being collaborative work with other teams and stakeholders he has been privileged to be involved with. He has been honored to supervise 24 Ph.D. students to completion and to have published over 300 high-quality research articles with them and other research collaborators. He is Member of the IEEE and the British Computer Society.

Suresh Merugu received his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. He has four years of research experience in the fields of advanced digital image processing, colorimetry, computer vision, sub-pixel classification, data mining techniques, and space sciences. He has been Associate Professor at CMR College of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad, since 2007.
