About the editors

Roumen Kountchev, Ph.D., D. Sc., is a professor at the Faculty of Telecommunications, Department of Radio Communications and Video Technologies at the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria. His scientific areas of interest are digital signal and image processing, image compression, multimedia watermarking, video communications, pattern recognition, and neural networks. Prof. Kountchev has 400 papers published in magazines and conference proceedings; 20 books; 48 chapters; and 20 patents. He had been the principle investigator of 52 research projects. At present, he is a member of Euro Mediterranean Academy of Arts and Sciences, the president of the Bulgarian Association for Pattern Recognition (a member of IAPR),the editor-in-chief of International Journal of Image Processing and Vision Science, the editorial board member of International Journal of Reasoning-based Intelligent Systems; International Journal Broad Research in Artificial Intelligence and Neuroscience; KES Focus Group on Intelligent Decision Technologies; Egyptian Computer Science Journal; International Journal of Bio-Medical Informatics and e-Health, and International Journal Intelligent Decision Technologies; and International Journal of Bio-Medical Informatics and e-Health, and a member of Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and International Engineering and Technology Institute. He has been a plenary speaker at more than 30 international scientific conferences and symposia. 
 
Dr. Wenfeng Wang is currently a full professor of School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Shanghai Institute of Technology. He is also the director of International Academy of Visual Art and Engineering in London and the Shanghai JWE Technological Research Center. He has been invited as a tenured professor and the Sino-Indian Joint Research Center of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics by the IMT Institute. He is the editor-in-chief of International Journal of Electronics and Engineering (IJEEE). He is also a key talent in Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2018), and a scientist in chief of RealMax, SLAILab, etc. He has served as a keynote speaker of AMICR2019, IACICE2020, OAES2020, AICS2021, 3DIT-MSP&DL2020, etc., and a reviewer of many SCI journals, including some top journals—Water Research, Science China-Information Sciences, Science of the Total Environment, Environmental Pollution, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, etc.  
 
Kazumi Nakamatsu received the Ms. Eng. and Dr. Sci. from Shizuoka University and Kyushu University, Japan, respectively. His research interests encompass various kinds of logic and their applications to Computer Science, especially paraconsistent annotated logic programs and their applications. He has developed some paraconsistent annotated logic programs called Annotated Logic Program with StrongNegation (ALPSN), Vector ALPSN (VALPSN), Extended VALPSN (EVALPSN), and before-after EVALPSN (bf-EVALPSN) recently and applied them to various intelligent systems such as a safety verification-based railway interlocking control system and process order control. He is an author of over 150 papers, 20 chapters, and 10 edited books published by prominent publishers. Kazumi Nakamatsu has chaired various international conferences, workshops, and invited sessions, and he has been a member of numerous international program committees of workshops and conferences in the area of Computer Science. He has served as the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Reasoning-based Intelligent Systems (IJRIS); he is now the founding editor of IJRIS and an editorial board member of many international journals. He has contributed numerous invited lectures at international workshops, conferences, and academic organizations. He also is a recipient of numerous research paper awards. He is a member ofACM.
 
Roumiana Kountcheva got her M.Sc. and Ph.D. at the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, and in 1992 she got the title Senior Researcher. At present, she is the vice president of TK Engineering, Sofia. She had postgraduate trainings in Fujitsu and Fanuc, Japan. Her main scientific interests are in image processing, image compression, digital watermarking, pattern recognition, image tensor representation, neural networks, CNC, and programmable controllers. She has more than 180 publications, among which: 34 journal papers, 21 book chapters, and 5 patents. She was the PI and Co-PI of 48 scientific research projects. R. Kountcheva was the plenary speaker at 16 international scientific conferences and scientific events. She edited several books published in Springer SIST series and is a member of international organizations: Bulgarian Association for Pattern Recognition, International Research Institute for Economics and Management, and the Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and is a honorary member of the Honorable Editorial Board of the non-profit peer-reviewed open-access IJBST Journal Group.
