About the author

Dr. Yueying Zhu received the B.Sc. degree in transportation engineering and the M.Sc. degree in automotive engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Weihai, China, in 2006 and 2008, and the Ph.D. degree in automotive engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2011. He was a visiting researcher with the Department of Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering, University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, from 2018 to 2019. Currently, he is an associate professor with Tianjin University of Science and Technology, Tianjin, China. Before joining Tianjin University of Science and Technology, Dr. Yueying Zhu was a research engineer at China Automotive Technology And Research Center (CATARC) as a position of postdoctor from 2011 to 2014. He has authored/coauthored over 50 peer-reviewed papers in journals and conference proceedings. His current research interests include electric motor control for electric vehicle applications, electric vehicle dynamics and control, in-wheel motor design and control, and swiched reluctance motor control for electric vehicles.
