This book covers central issues in mitigating supply chain risks from various perspectives. About the editors

Dr. Yacob Khojasteh is a Professor of Operations Management at the Graduate School of Global Studies, Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan. He was a Visiting Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada in 2021-2022. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Tsukuba, Japan. His previous books on Production Control Systems, Production Management, and Supply Chain Risk Management were published (by Springer Nature and CRC Press) in 2016, 2017, and 2018, respectively. He has several years of professional experience in industry and consulting. His research interests include production and operations management, supply chain management, logistics and warehousing, systems modeling and optimization, and lean production systems.

Dr. Henry Xu is a Senior Lecturer of Supply Chain Management at the Business School of the University of Queensland, Australia. He graduated from the Imperial College London with a PhD in Engineering. His research interests include supply chain integration and coordination, risk and disruption management, and sustainable supply chains. He has published in many reputable international journals.

Dr. Saeed Zolfaghari is a Professor of Industrial Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada. His research has been funded by several external agencies and companies that include NSERC, MITACS, GEOIDE, MMO, CITO, WSIB, Allanson International, Workbrain and Schawk. He received the 2011 Service Award and 2006 Practice Prize Award from the Canadian Operational Research Society, and the 2007 Teaching Excellence Award from the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Science, Toronto Metropolitan University. Most recently, from 2020-21, he was Interim Provost and Vice-President, Academic, and prior to that he served as the Vice-Provost, Faculty Affairs for six years. He is currently the Vice-President, Administration and Operations at Toronto Metropolitan University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, Canada, and a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC).
