Springer acquires Hubert Ebner Verlag in Austria

Springer Science+Business Media (Springer) has acquired Hubert Ebner Verlags GmbH (Hubert Ebner Verlag), the leading Austrian driving school and traffic education publisher

Springer Science+Business Media (Springer) has acquired Hubert Ebner Verlags GmbH (Hubert Ebner Verlag), the leading Austrian driving school and traffic education publisher. The main activity of Hubert Ebner Verlag, based in Wels, Austria, is the development, production and distribution of driving school publications. In addition, the company trains future driving school instructors in its Fahrlehrer Akademie and is active in the education of commercial truck drivers and bus drivers.
Hubert Ebner Verlag fits perfectly into Springer’s existing driving school business in Germany, Switzerland, Spain, France and Eastern Europe. Hubert Ebner Verlag has 25 employees and realised a turnover of more than EUR 2 million in 2005.
