About the editors
Prof. (Dr.) Jayashree Sood (MD, FFARCS, PGDHHM, FICA) graduated from BJ Medical College, Pune, India and completed postgraduate training at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. She also qualified as an FFARCS in the UK. She holds a postgraduate degree in Hospital & Health Management (PGDHHM) from Pune, India. She is currently the chair of the Department of Anaesthesiology, Pain and Perioperative Medicine at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, India. She has published more than 100 papers and has delivered several lectures at various national and international conferences. She received the IMA Mediko Healthcare Excellence Award 2019 for Excellence in Anesthesia Management at Hyderabad, India, as well as the Best Teacher Award 2018 and Best Academician Award from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, India. She is also the CEO of the Indian College of Anaesthesiologists. She has edited the books Anaesthesia In Laparoscopic Surgery and Anaesthesia For Transplant Surgery and authored an atlas of procedures in neonate and pediatric practice.
Dr. Shikha Sharma graduated from Sawai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur, India and completed her postgraduate training at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. She also underwent training in lung transplant and thoracic anesthesia at Toronto General Hospital, and the University of Alabama Hospital, Birmingham, USA. She is currently a senior consultant in charge of thoracic anesthesia at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, India, and her team has been involved in more than 2,900 major thoracic cases to date.
