About the authors
Lan Wang, PhD, Associate Professor, Urban Planning Department, University of Tongji, Shanghai, China. Prof. Wang holds Bachelor and Master degrees in Urban Planning and Design from Tongji University. She attended University of Chicago at Illinois for her PhD in Urban Planning and Policy. Prof. Wang has conducted comparative studies on urban planning and development of globalizing cities in China, India, and the United States, with a focus on urban regeneration and new town development. Her current research interest extends to healthy city planning. With her expertise, Prof. Wang has served as a Senior Urban Development Specialist for Asian Development Bank (ADB) and an Urban Regeneration Consultant for World Bank.
