About this book
These proceedings present the latest information on intelligent- transportation technologies and their applications in real-world cases. The Second International Conference on Intelligent Transportation was held in Chengdu, China on November 25–27, 2015, to present the latest research in the field, including intelligent-transportation management, intelligent vehicles, rail transportation systems, traffic transportation networks, as well as road traffic element simulations and their industrial development. The aim of conference was to bring together academics, researchers, engineers and students from across the world to discuss state-of-the-art technologies related to intelligent transportation.

About the editor
Prof. Huapu Lu received his B.E. from Department of Civil Engineering, Dalian University of Technology in 1982, and Master’s and Ph.D. degree of Traffic Engineering from Department of Civil Engineering, Nagoya University, Japan in 1989 and 1993, respectively. He has been serving as Director of Institute of Transportation Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China since 2001.
Prof. Lu’s research areas include: Urban Comprehensive Traffic Planning, Urban Rail Traffic Planning, Public Transportation System Planning, Road Network Planning, Road Traffic Management Planning, Planning Design and Software Development of Intelligent Transportation System, Research and Planning of Integrated Transportation Hub and Logistics System, Research on Sustainable Transportation System of Metropolis and Traffic Impact Analyses. He has publishedmore than 300 articles in Chinese and English academic journals, including more than 170 SCI-indexed articles. He has also published 23 books in Chinese on various sectors of Transportation.
Prof. Lu also serves as Deputy Head of the “Smooth Traffic Project” panel of China Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Construction, Member of Urban Transportation Expert Panel of China Ministry of Construction, Traffic Consultant of Beijing People's Government expert advisory, Member of expert committee of Rail Transportation of China transportation Institute, Executive director of the Road Traffic Safety Association of China, Standing Vice President of Beijing Institute of Traffic Engineering, Executive member of council of Transportation and Logistics Branch of China Transportation Institute, Member of Singapore LTA Expert Committee and President of Asian Branch of International Committee of TRB
