About the editors

Dr. R. Ganesh Narayanan is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He obtained doctoral degree from Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science, IIT Bombay and Master's from Department of Manufacturing Technology, Anna University, Chennai. He has published several papers in international journals and conferences and contributed a number of book chapters. He has edited a book on Metal forming. His areas of research include sheet metal forming, forging, joining and forming, adhesive bonded sheets, formability and forming limit and computational applications in metal forming.

Dr. Uday Shankar Dixit obtained a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Roorkee (now Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee) in 1987, an M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur in 1993, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1998. A Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Dr. Dixit has published numerous papers and five books. He has also edited a book on Metal Forming, guest-edited a number of special journal issues and is an associate editor for the Journal of Institution of Engineers, Series C.
