About this book

This quick reference on pediatric infectious diseases of the ear, nose, and throat provides reliable assistance in decision-making and management. To this end, numerous diagnostic and treatment algorithms are included. Practicing pediatricians, primary care practitioners, and otolaryngologists will all find the book to be an invaluable aid.

This book helps the otolaryngologist who is uncertain of the best antibiotic or duration of treatment for a particular condition and instruct the pediatrician on when to refer to an otolaryngologist for surgical management. The approach is multidisciplinary, with contributions from both pediatric otolaryngologists and pediatric infectious disease physicians.

Reviews

“The concise reference of infectious of the ear, nose and throat. With many illustrations in color and references. For pediatric oto-rhyno-laryngologists, ENT residents and practitioners.” (Pediatric Endocrinology Reviews (PER), Vol. 13 (4), June, 2016)

“This is a practical, well‐illustrated guide to infections in pediatric otolaryngology. The scope of diseases covered ranges from common to not so common causes of infections in everyday pediatric practice, enabling readers to explore the breadth and complexities of the management of ears, nose, throat, and neck infections in children. … The information and approach to the material make it relevant for clinicians in a pediatric office, an otolaryngology office, or on the wards.” (Shirley F. Delair, Doody's Book Reviews, May, 2016)
