This book provides a comprehensive analysis of the dynamic relationship between macroeconomic variables and stock prices in India. The research findings and policy implications discussed here may also be relevant for other emerging economies.

Reviews

"In this interesting scholarly work, Dr. Tarak Nath Sahu has nicely explored and established the influence of macroeconomic variables on stock performance. His argument pushes investors and market analysts to evaluate macro variables from a new perspective." - T.P. Ghosh, Professor of Finance, Institute of Management Technology, Dubai, UAE

"This work attempts to explain, in the Indian context, the effect of the relationship between macroeconomic variables and stock prices. Not only does the work provide relevant and detailed analysis, it also makes policy recommendations and highlights the applications of its findings. Overall, this is an insightful work which will help investors and policy framers to make better decisions." - Sankarshan Basu, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, India

"An excellent contribution to finance and towards building a cogent understanding of the Indian market. I found this volume informative, easy to assimilate, and thoroughly founded upon robust research. I believe it will dispel some misconceptions about the liberalization era's impact on the Indian capital markets."
