This book analyses the life histories of Jamaican men involved in the UK drugs trade, including wholesalers, street dealers, specialist cooks, cutters, and growers. Employing a life history approach, their autobiographical accounts are examined to provide an in-depth and unique insight of their journeys into drugs and crime.

About the author

Angie Heal has over 35 years' experience as a practitioner and researcher in the fields of health, social care and criminal justice. She has worked for a number of public, voluntary and independent sector agencies. She has a PhD in criminology from the University of Sheffield, UK, where she is also a Sessional Research Associate.
