About the editors

Pradeep Kumar Mallick is Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Vignana Bharathi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, India. He has completed his doctorate from Siksha Ó’Anusandhan University, India in 2016. His area of research includes Algorithm Design and Analysis, and Data Mining. He has published more than 30 research papers in National and international journals and conference proceedings.


Valentina E. Balas is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Automatics and Applied Software at the Faculty of Engineering, “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad (Romania). She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Electronics and Telecommunications from Polytechnic University of Timisoara (Romania). She is the author of more than 160 research papers in refereed journals and international conferences. Her research interests are in Intelligent Systems, Fuzzy Control, Soft Computing, Smart Sensors, Information Fusion, Modeling and Simulation. She is the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Advanced Intelligence Paradigms (IJAIP), member in Editorial Board of several national and international journals and is evaluator expert for national and international projects.


Akash Kumar Bhoi completed his B.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering) from the Trident Academy of Technology (TAT), Bhubaneswar, India and M.Tech. (Biomedical Instrumentation) from Karunya University, Coimbatore, India in the years 2009 and 2011, respectively. He is pursuing his Ph.D. (in Biomedical Signal Processing) at Sikkim Manipal University, Sikkim, India. He is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) and also Faculty Associate in the R&D Section of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), Sikkim Manipal University. He has published book chapters and several papers in national and international journals and conferences.


Ahmed Faheem Zobaa received his B.Sc. (Hons), M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Power and Machines from Cairo University, Egypt. Also, he received a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from the University of Exeter, U.K. He was an instructor, a teaching assistant, and an assistant professor at Cairo University during 1992–2007. He moved to the UK as a Senior Lecturer in Renewable Energy at the University of Exeter in 2007. He was Associate Professor (on leave) at Cairo University during 2008–2013. He was promoted to Full Professor (on leave) at Cairo University in 2013. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Power Systems, an MSc Course Director – Sustainable Electrical Power and a Full Member of the Institute of Energy Futures at Brunel University London, U.K. His main areas of expertise are power quality, (marine) renewable energy, smart grids, energy efficiency, and lighting applications.
