About the editors
Dr Xiaoqiang Gu obtained his PhD degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong SAR China). Now he is working as an Associate Professor in the School of Civil Engineering, Tongji University (China).
Dr Junliang Tao graduated with his PhD degree from the Case Western Reserve University, United States. Now he is an Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, the University of Akron (United States). He was awarded the NSF CAREER award in 2017.Dr Annan Zhou obtained his PhD degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Newcastle, Australia. Now he works as a tenured Senior Lecturer at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia. He was awarded the ARC DECRA Fellowship in 2012 and the AGS Hugh Trollope Medal in 2014.
