About the authors

Dr. Saikat Sen is currently working as Associate Professor in the Dept. of Pharmacy, Assam down town University, Guwahati, India. He obtained is PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India. He possesses more than 8 years of teaching experience and his prime research interest lies in management of diabetes. He also has vast experience in evaluating certain plant extracts for their medicinal properties.

Dr. Sen has 45 national and international publications to his credit and serves as fellow/member of various academic societies in Indian and abroad; such as Indian Science Congress, National Academy of Biological Sciences, Asian Council of Science Editors and many more. Dr. Sen has been actively involved in organizing and participating various conferences and seminars of international repute.

He is also in editorial board of various journals published by Elsevier, NISCAIR, Medknow, etc.

Dr. Sen has written a chapter published by Springer in the book titled “Free Radicals in Human Disease and Health (ISBN: 9788132220343; pp 293-322).

Dr. Biplab De is currently working as Associate Professor (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) at Regional Institute of Pharmaceutical Science And Technology (RIPSAT), Agartala, Tripura, India. He obtained his PhD from Jadhavpur University, Kolkata, India. He possesses more than 18 years of teaching experience in the field of medicinal/pharmaceutical chemistry. His research interest lies in medicinal chemistry and its physiological relevance at various levels. He has 127 publications to his credit and has guided several Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral students as Supervisor in completion of their theses.

Dr. De is member/fellow of various national and international associations such as The Association of Physiologists and Pharmacologists of India, Indian Chemical Society, International Congress of Chemistry and Environment and many more. He has also been involved at administrative level for designing and updating the curriculum for various Bachelor and Master of Pharmacy courses.

Dr. Raja Chakraborty is currently serving as Associate Professor in the Dept. of Pharmacy, Assam down town University, Guwahati, India. He has obtained PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India. He possesses more than 7 years of teaching experience and his main area of research is synthesis and screening of various compounds for their medicinal properties for various diseases. He also has vast experience in evaluating certain plant extracts for their medicinal properties.

Dr. Chakraborty has 47 national and international publications to his credit and serves as fellow/member of various academic societies in Indian and abroad; such as InPharm Association, Indian Science Congress, Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society and many more.

He is currently also serving as Editorial Board member of - Journal of Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Biological Sciences, International Journal of pharma Wave, Pharmacologia, ISR journals. Dr. Chakraborty has been actively involved in organizing and participating various conferences and seminars of international repute.
