`... this volume represents perhaps the best available report on state-of-the-science cretaceous research. Some may query the wisdom of grand schemes such as the GSGP, believing that science is best left to the imaginative individual. This useful volume offers a persuasive counter-argument. That it speaks with many voices (if not languages) is to be expected and indeed adds to its strength.'
