Overview
- Bioelectromagnetics is a relatively new and complex field, and this book will serve as a 'travel guide' to the students and researchers who are interested in interaction of biological systems and electromagnetic fields
- All of the texts were copyedited by Dr. Walter R. Rogers of University of Texas (http://www.uthscsa.edu/faculty/rogers.html)

About this book
In this book, the authors intended to focus their effort on describing (1) biological responses of human and animals, both in vivo and in vitro methodologies, to magnetic and/or electromagnetic field exposure, (2) characteristics of effective fields, (3) hypotheses to explain possible mechanisms of interaction between the fields and cells, and (4) induced current in ELF and induced heat in RF fields as key interaction mechanisms.
The readers can have the present-day comprehensive knowledge about biological responses to electromagnetic field exposure.
Reviews
From the reviews:
"The aim of this very interesting book is to give an overview of the effects of electromagnetic fields on living organisms. … This book gives an overwhelming information about experiments on the biological effects of EM in biology. … This book can be read by students with a bachelor degree in physics, biology and engineering. … I highly recommend this work to researchers in electrical engineering, biology, physics, medicine and to anyone interested in this current matter." (Fernande Dhoore, Physicalia Magazine, Vol. 29 (4), 2007)
