About this book
Logistics has become instrumental in determining corporate profitability. However, as yet there exists no clear method that can be drawn on to illustrate the value contribution of logistics decisions and changes for business entities. This book is intended to fill that gap. It describes all value-creating spheres of influence and draws up a logistics business plan that provides a structured plan of action for improving the performance of a logistics system. A concrete case study offers additional suggestions for transferring the findings to the respective company situation. The dual-language format (German-English) is intended to make the book accessible to people working in globally operating companies or those pursuing internationally-oriented courses of study.
