Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und Wachstum hochentwickelter Industrienationen werden immer stärker von ihrer Innovationskraft bestimmt. Die Industriepolitik nimmt daher zunehmend strategische Aufgaben zur Unterstützung industrieller Innovationstätigkeit wahr, und staatliche Programme zur finanziellen Förderung industrieller Innovation sind ein immer häufiger eingesetztes Politikinstrument.

Anhand aktueller Fördermodelle aus den USA zeigt Philipp M. Breloh Chancen und Risiken für die Wirtschaftspolitik bei der Beteiligung staatlicher Entscheider an der Finanzierung industrieller Innovation auf. Die Untersuchung stützt sich sowohl auf eine qualitative als auch auf eine quantitative Analyse des Finanzierungsportfolios staatlicher Förderprogramme und zeigt Grenzen zwischen staatlicher Förderung und privater Risikofinanzierung auf.

About the author

Dr. Philipp M. Breloh promovierte bei Prof. Dr. Heiko Körner am Institut für Wirtschaftspolitik der Technischen Universität Darmstadt. Heute ist er als Unternehmer und Berater tätig.
