Reviews
Review by Prof. Joseph Shinar, Ames Laboratory – USDOE and Iowa State University:
The Table of Contents is very solid and the list of contributors is very impressive. It appears to strike the perfect coverage from fundamentals of the materials and composites to the fundamentals of the device physics to the state-of-the-art in device performance. I am particularly impressed by the participation of the following:
Vardeny is obviously one of the most prominent researchers in ultrafast spectroscopy of pi-conjugated materials and blends.
Ronald Osterbacka is also a very well-known researcher in pi-conjugated materials, although I am not familiar with his publications on OPVs.
Yongli Gao is a veteran, extremely well-established researcher on the surfaces of pi-conjugated materials and related systems.
Paul Blom is one of the prominent researchers in both modeling and measuring carrier transport in organic semiconductor devices.
Luping Yu is one of the two most leading synthetic chemists of low-gap polymers for OPVs.
Mario LeClerc is the other leading synthetic chemist in this field.
Fred Wudl is one of the most veteran and well-known chemists in the synthesis of novel pi-conjugated polymers.
Alex Jen is another prominent chemist who has published extensively on OPVs.
Rene Janssen is another leading authority on fabrication and studies of OPVs.
Frederick Krebs is one of the most prominent authorities on the state-of-the-art performance of OPVs.
In summary -- a dream team.
