About this book

Michael Meyer geht den Fragen nach, welche Optionen Lehrpersonen bzw. Schulbuchautoren und -autorinnen  haben, um mathematische Sätze entdecken, prüfen und/oder begründen zu lassen, was den Prozess der Bildung eines mathematischen Begriffs auszeichnet und welche inhaltlichen bzw. strukturellen Zusammenhänge zwischen Begriffen und Sätzen bestehen. Er präsentiert dazu zwei aufeinander aufbauende theoretische Ansätze, indem er mathematikdidaktische, philosophische und soziologische Theorien miteinander verbindet. Seine Analyseergebnisse münden in konkreten Lernumgebungen, deren empirischer Einsatz und die anschließende theoretische Rekonstruktion Bedingungen und (realisierbare) Möglichkeiten von Mathematiklernen verdeutlichen.​
