About this book

The book series “Art and Architecture in Discussion” was initiated at a time when there was little to no dialogue between artists and architects. Today the situation is quite different. Disciplines and media are merging more and more: artists design buildings and furniture, designers and musicians venture out into the art world, architects collaborate with artists. These exchanges and expansions raise many questions. How do you become what you are? Do you have to decide once and for all? How important is mastery today? Can experiences be transported into other media? What are the pros and cons of working in various media and disciplines? What idiom do you use to describe your practice- and what idioms do others ?nd for it?
