About this book

Oklahoma Notes / Behavioral Sciences, second edition, is a review and study guide suitable for second-year medical students preparing for the National Board of Medical Examiners, foreign medical school graduates preparing for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination in the Medical Sciences (FMGEMS), and students preparing for the Medical Sciences Knowledge Profile (MSKP), as well as interns and residents preparing for certification examinations. Like the first edition, Oklahoma Notes / Behavioral Sciences, second edition, covers normal phenomenology of human behavior; theories of human development and psychosocial issues in health care delivery; psychopathology in children and adults; diagnosis and treatment issues connected with both psychopathology and the problems of living; and different health care delivery systems and the prevalence of different health care problems. The second edition offers substantive updating and expansion in several areas, specifically, DSM-III-R terminology, psychopharmacology, growth and development, and psychosocial issues.
