About the author

Abha Agrawal is a physician, Director of Medical Informatics, and Associate Medical Director at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. She was awarded a National Library of Medicine fellowship in medical informatics at Yale University and was later appointed as Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School. Currently she is a Visiting Associate Professor of Medicine at the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine.

Dr. Agrawal’s work focuses on application of information technology to improve healthcare quality and patient safety.
