Recent advances in metal organic frameworks for the catalytic degradation of organic pollutants
The application of metal organic frameworks (MOFs) with their large surface area and numerous active sites for the catalytic degradation of organic pollutants has provided effective solutions to address diverse environmental problems. This review summarizes the different reaction types of MOFs in the removal of organic pollutants, such as physical adsorbents, enzyme immobilization carriers, nanoenzymes, photocatalytic catalysts, photo Fenton and sulfate radical based advanced oxidation processes (SR-AOPs). Finally, the opportunities and challenges of developing advanced MOFs for the removal of organic pollutants were discussed and anticipated.
Recent progresses of collagen dressings for chronic skin wound healing
Inappropriate treatments of skin wounds would lead to chronic wounds, which poses a substantial challenge in dermatology. Collagen-based dressings have been increasingly developed to heal the chronic wounds. This review overviews different types of collagen-based wound healing dressings and critically discusses their advantages and limitations. In addition, the role of collagen dressing in wound healing and the commercialized collagen dressings have been summarized. Finally, an outlook of collagen dressings has been finally speculated, which will greatly contribute to their future development.
