Julia Lux diskutiert die arbeits- und sozialpolitischen Projekte in Deutschland und Frankreich vor dem Hintergrund der Krisenprozesse seit 2007. Zentral argumentiert sie, dass Deutschland auch in der Krise das Arbeits- und Sozialsystem der Agenda 2010 konsolidiert, während in Frankreich starke Veränderungen in der Arbeits- und Sozialpolitik erkennbar sind. Mit Hilfe eines kritischen, diskursorientierten Ansatzes zur politökonomischen Analyse wird beleuchtet, wie politische Akteure und Akteurinnen den Trend zur Deregulierung des Arbeitsmarktes, Ausweitung der (Lebens-)arbeitszeit und Reform sowie Reduktion der Sozialsysteme in beiden Ländern legitimieren und prägen.
