Reviews

From the reviews:

“A multi-author (mainly US) treatise covers all fields of pediatrics. … Each chapter has summary points and a suggested reading list. For residents in pediatric surgery and surgeons who operate on children.” (Pediatric Endocrinology Reviews (PER), Vol. 9 (2), December, 2011)

“‘We also offer a comprehensive, practical guide for surgical residents as they serve their rotation in pediatric surgery, and for surgical residents who choose a fellowship in pediatric surgery. Each chapter presents up-to date, pertinent information … on day-to-day care of children needing surgical care’. … provides a concise overview of its topic, accompanied with photos and diagrams, highlighted tables of summary points, technical points, a list of studies and a ‘parental preparation’ summary of information to present to the patient’s family members.” (Ashley Moore, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, August, 2011)

“The book will prove valuable to students, residents in general surgery, fellows in pediatric surgery, and practicing pediatric surgeons who are faced with a problem seldom encountered or last encountered many years ago in training or practice. … Overall, this is another good contribution that joins the three to four other large textbooks currently available in the English language that review the broad field of pediatric surgery. … this is a well-done textbook that will serve the field well for the next few years.” (Robert M. Arensman, Doody’s Book Reviews, May, 2011)
