China Science Publishing & Media Ltd., the kernel enterprise of China Science Publishing & Media Group Ltd., consists of 15 publishing and media units including Science Press Ltd. as its fundamental body, plus Science China Press Ltd., Newtown Press Ltd., Beijing China Science Journal Publishing Co. Ltd., Beijing Zhongke I/E Company, among others.

China Science Publishing & Media Ltd. will take multiple marketing measures, such as listing financing, mergers and acquisitions, and grouping, to realize the further integration of science publishing resources and thus strengthen the China science publishing industry.

China Science Publishing & Media Ltd. is actively seeking candidates for the following management positions.

Position 1: President of Science China Press Ltd.  

1. Company Introduction
Science China Press Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of China Science Publishing & Media Ltd., is one of the leading professional academic journal publishers in China, mainly specializing in editing, publishing, and distributing academic journals.
Science China Press Ltd. edits and publishes Science China Series and Chinese Science Bulletin, the leading academic journals in China. Science China Series covers Science China Mathematics, Physics (including Mechanics and Astronomy), Chemistry, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, Technological Sciences, and Information Sciences. The seven journals of Science China Series and Chinese Science Bulletin are published in English and Chinese, monthly for the former and trimonthly for the latter. All the above journals are supervised by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and co-sponsored by CAS and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
From 2008, the management of Science China Series and Chinese Science Bulletin was transferred to the platform of Academic Divisions of CAS. In 2010, Science China Series was integrated with Progress in Natural Science. Science China Series and Chinese Science Bulletin are now indexed by major indexing and abstracting systems inside and outside China.
2. Position Requirements
(1) Age not older than 45; in good health. A PhD or equivalent is required, as well as ≥6 years of work experience in academic journal publishing or relevant fields, or a master’s degree as along with >10 years of work experience in academic journal publishing or relevant fields.
(2) Candidates with research experience and independently published excellent papers will take priority. Candidates from China are required to possess the title of Senior Editor.
(3) Capable of speaking and writing English fluently and adequately.
(4) Familiar with the academic journal editing and publishing process, having achieved good performance with merit, and having some influence in the editing and publishing industry.
(5) Good at communication and cooperation, with management experience, and capable of leading a group to achieve short- and long-term goals.
(6) Candidates with overseas research experience or work and management experience at international academic journals will take priority.

Position 2: Vice President of Beijing China Science Journal Publishing Co. Ltd. 

1. Company Introduction
Beijing China Science Journal Publishing Co. Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of China Science Publishing & Media Ltd., and serves as the operation main body of the National Science and Technology Publishing Base. Its goal is to push forward reform of the China science journal system; its mission is to facilitate development of the China journal publishing industry.
The company is now settled in the Beijing Publishing Innovation Industry Zone of China. Approved by the relevant national administration department, it has become a professional publishing unit specializing in academic journal editing and publishing, investment management, advertisement, distribution, training, and digital publishing.
The company currently consists of seven departments—covering editing, journal publishing, business development, marketing, production, digital publishing, and comprehensive management—providing professional services for the whole academic journal publishing process.
Beijing China Science Journal Publishing Co. Ltd. is striving to become a leading enterprise of China academic journal integrated publishing, as well as an incubating platform of digitalization, marketing, and internationalization for China science journals.
2. Position Requirements
(1) Age younger than 40, with a master’s degree or higher, as well as the title of Vice Senior Editor title or above.
(2) At least 5 years of work experience as a journal editor (or ≥3 years of work experience if having a PhD), or ≥5 years of work experience as a book editor (or ≥4 years of work experience if having a PhD), and familiarity with the journal (book) editing and publishing process.
(3) Strong editing management and team management ability. Candidates with work experience as the Editorial Director of an influential journal will take priority.
(4) Good publishing management ideas and strong marketing consciousness.
(5) Good at communication and cooperation.
(6) Candidates with good understanding of journal digital publishing and relevant work experience will take priority.
