On March 18, 2011, a grand award ceremony was held for the Second Chinese Government Award for Publishing (2011) in Beijing. Science China Press garnered three awards: the Journal Award for Chinese Science Bulletin, the Journal Nomination Award for Science China-Mathematics, and the Excellent Publishing Individual Award for Dr. Ren Shengli, vice editor-in-chief for Science China Press Co., Ltd. China’s Government Award for Publishing is presented only every three years. 2011 witnessed the first Journal Award, which stands for the highest reputation for Chinese journals.
Chinese Science Bulletin (CSB) is a multidisciplinary academic journal with great influence on natural sciences research in China. Since its founding in 1950, CSB has published a large number of research reports, and comprehensively introduced the latest research progress in science and technology, making great contributions to China’s science and technology development as well as academic communication both at home and abroad. CSB was awarded the National Journal Award in three consecutive years, and received the Most Influential Journal for the 60th Anniversary of New China.
Science China-Mathematics (English version), which branched out from Science China in 2003, reports on novel and essential research results in fundamental and applied research, covering pure mathematics, applied mathematics, calculation mathematics, statistics, etc. Indexed by over 10 important international databases such as SCI, Math Review, Zentralblatt Math and MathScienceNet, Science China-Mathematics is considered a representative journal for China’s fundamental research.
