Tuna Taşan-Kok is Assistant Professor at the City and Regional Planning Department of Middle East Technical University, and Senior Researcher in TUDelft, OTB Research Institute for the Built Environment. She has Ph.D. in Urban Geography from the University of Utrecht, M.Sc. in Regional Planning from the Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey and BA (Honrs.) in City and Regional Planning from Dokuz Eylul University, Turkey. She has been conducting and coordinating international comparative research and teaching in the fields of human geography and urban planning in different European countries. She has previously worked at Polish and Hungarian Academy of Sciences, coordinated a research group at Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, and worked at University of Antwerp, OASeS. She has mainly published on the topics of globalisation, neoliberal urban development, property market dynamics, property-led planning and urban regeneration issues, entrepreneurial and multi-level urban governance, European regulations and planning, multicultural cities and resilience thinking in urban planning. She is also editor of Journal of Housing and the Built Environment (HBE).
