About this book series
The philosophy of religion is today a flourishing field that reflects an era characterized by diversity in human experience and philosophical method. New voices have emerged and sharp divisions are sometimes drawn between theism and post-theism, realism and non-realism, foundationalism and non-foundationalism, exclusivism and pluralism and transcendence and immanence.
The Handbook of Contemporary Philosophy of Religion is intended to bring some order into the picture, to provide a reference series that focuses on the primary issues and approaches to contemporary philosophy of religion.
The first three volumes of this new Handbook are described below. Volume Four will take up the comparative approach to the philosophy of religion. It will be followed by a volume in process philosophy of religion. Additional volumes are being planned covering other philosophical approaches to the philosophy of religion.
