About this book series

The series Electronic Publishing presents the state of the art of any aspect of this fast moving field. Topics include the application of computers to the traditional areas of publishing such as creating documents (desk top publishing), document design (electronic page layout), processing of documents (text processing languages), printing of documents (page description languages, printing on demand, digital typography). New ways of presenting, retrieving and digesting information such as optical character recognition, hypertext and electronic document databases will also be explored. Finally, the series is also a platform for the presentation and discussion of the enormous efforts of standardization which are currently underway in information processing.
