About this book series

One major focus of current scientific activity is to come to a better understanding of the mechanisms of how global climate change may be translated into the regional scales. Global models are not capable of predicting accurately either the evolution of regional climate or its impacts especially on soils, water and agriculture. Different approaches are necessary as support of such studies. It seems an opportune time to integrate widespread research results gained in various fields as well as in various areas worldwide to arrive at an overview of the synergies interacting in the climate system. The objective of this new series is to fulfil this aim to show that it is not possible but also desirable to compare research strategies as well as the reliability and transferbility of the results obtained from one region to another.
