About the Editor
Giovanni Comandè (LLM Harvard Law School USA, Ph.D. Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna) is Full professor of comparative law at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (www.santannapisa.it) and Director of the interdisciplinary research lab LIDER-Lab (www.lider-lab.eu ), Attorney at Law in Italy and USA. He is elected Member of the American Law Institute. Prof. Comandé authored many books and articles in several languages. Among his elective fields of research are, AI regulation, data protection, technology regulation, torts, and health law. He is also scientific and ethics expert for the Research Executive Agency and the European Research Council Executive Agency at the European Union. He is (co)director of several scientific journals among which is Opinio Juris in Comparatione (www.opiniojurisincomparatione.org).Martin Ebers is Associate Professor of IT Law at the University of Tartu (Estonia) and permanent research fellow at the Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany). He is co-founder and president of the Robotics & AI Law Society (RAILS; www.ai-laws.org). In addition to research and teaching, he has been active in the field of legal consulting for many years. His main areas of expertise and research are IT law, liability and insurance law, and European law. In 2020, he published and co-edited the books "Algorithms and Law" (Cambridge University Press) and "Rechtshandbuch für Künstliche Intelligenz und Robotik" (C.H. Beck).
