About the Editor

Adrián Albala is an assistant professor of political science at the University of Brasília, Brazil. His areas of expertise include political representation and government formations. His research has appeared in the British Journal of Politics and International Relations and Party Politics, among other journals. He also authored and edited diverse books published by Springer. María José Álvarez Rivadulla is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the Universidad de los Andes, Colombia. She is interested in urban sociology and in the study of class inequalities. Her book, Squatters and the politics of marginality in Uruguay, is focused on poor people’s politics in the city. Alejandro Natal is professor of political science at El Colegio Mexiquense, Mexico. His areas of expertise include civil society and community development. He has been part of the editorial board of different publications, such as the Journal of Civil Society and the International Encyclopedia of Civil Society, among others.
