Series Editors
Judit Csoba, PhD is a Professor Habilitated, at the Department of Sociology and Social Policy and Course Director of Social Work Education at the Faculty of Arts, University of Debrecen, Hungary. She is elected member of the Executive Committee of European Association of Schools of Social Work, member of the European Academy of Arts and Sciences, nominated expert of Social Work Training in the Hungarian Accreditation Committee.
She carried out more than 15 international and 25 national research projects financed by the European Union Framework Programmes (FP5, FP6), the EQUAL, HURO, ADAPT, HORIZON 2020, HORIZON EUROPE programmes, and the Hungarian Ministry of Labour, and Ministry of Social Affairs.
With 25 years of experience, she takes part in editing professional journals, currently is a member of the editorial boards of three high-quality national journals (Esély, Metszetek, Socio.hu) in Hungary and is an editor of a series of books focusing on social science research (SocioTéka) published by L'Harmattan Publishing House.
Her research focuses on the following topics: Sociology of Work, Social Policy, Employment System of Welfare States, Employment Policy, Integration of Marginalised Social Groups, Social Economy, Community Development, and Community Social Work. She published in several high-ranking classified national and international journals (Journal of Women and Ageing; Social Work Education; Public Money and Management, Socio.hu, Review of Sociology) and with international publishers (Springer: Berlin, Policy Press: Bristol).
Florin Lazăr, PhD is a Professor Habilitated, at the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, University of Bucharest, Romania and, since 2022, vice-president of the National College of Social Workers from Romania. He teaches social policy, social work with at-risk groups, social work research methods and advanced social research both at the BA and MA level. He worked as a social worker with people living with HIV and vulnerable children and youth for 12 years, advised the Romanian Government on the social assistance reform (2011) and on the strategy for the promotion of children’s rights (2013). He carried out more than 30 research projects using mixed research methods financed by UNICEF, the Government of Ireland, EU, UNFPA, Save the Children, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Research. He is member of the editorial board of European Journal of Social Work, executive-editor of Revista de Asistență Socială (Social Work Review), member of the Executive Committee of the European Association of Schools of Social Work (EASSW), Board member of the European Social Work Research Association (ESWRA), past president of the Social Work Research Commission within the National College of Social Workers from Romania (2016-2022) and member of the National Council for Attestation of University Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates (CNATDCU), Sociology and Social Sciences Commission. Recently he carried out research on HIV stigma, rights of the children in residential care, social workers’ workforce and social work profession contributing to the academization of Social Work in Romania. He published widely on the professionalization of social work, HIV stigma, social work education and vulnerable children and youth in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
