About the Editor

Daniel Martins-de-Souza holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Head of Proteomics at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), in Brazil. He is currently an Assistant to the Vice-President of Research of UNICAMP and Biology Coordinator for São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).

Daniel´s postdoctoral training was carried out in the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry in Germany and at the University of Cambridge, UK. For two years, Daniel was the Principal Investigator in the Dept. of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the Ludwig Maximilians University (LMU), just before becoming a Professor. Daniel was elected Affiliated Member of the São Paulo Academy of Sciences in 2019 and Affiliated Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences in 2017. His main expertise is on proteomics and systems biology tools to investigate molecular mechanisms involved in mental disorders.
