About the Editor

Joy Gordon is Ignacio Ellacuría, S.J. Professor of Social Ethics in the Philosophy Department at Loyola University, Chicago, USA. Her areas of specialization include ethical issues in international relations, social and political philosophy, human rights, international law and global governance. She is on the editorial board of Ethics and International Affairs, and has published extensively on legal and ethical aspects of economic sanctions, including Invisible War: The United States and the Iraq Sanctions (2010). She has also published on issues involving the United Nations Security Council.

Anthony F. Lang Jr. is Professor in the School of International Relations at the University of St Andrews, UK. His research focuses on the intersection of politics, law and ethics at the global level. These themes are explored through the lens of global constitutionalism, human rights, international responsibility, and the just war tradition. His previous work has addressed international political theory, with a particular focus on questions of agency, responsibility and punishment. These theoretical questions have been explored through various global practices such as humanitarian intervention, international security strategy, war crimes, and counter terrorism policy.
