About the Editor

LANCE FUSARELLI is a Professor and Director of Graduate Programs in the Department of Leadership, Policy and Adult and Higher Education at North Carolina State University. He is co-author of Better Policies, Better Schools and co-editor of the Handbook of Education Politics and Policy.

FREDERICK M. HESS is Resident Scholar and Director of Education Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute. An author, teacher, and political scientist, his books include The Same Thing Over and Over: How School Reformers Get Stuck in Yesterday’s Ideas and Common Sense School Reform.

MARTIN WEST is an Assistant Professor of Education  in the Graduate School of Education at Harvard University. He is an Executive Editor of Education Next and Deputy Director of Harvard’s Program on Education Policy and Governance.
