About the Editor

Eurasia Business and Economics Society (EBES) was founded in early 2008; however, the idea of creating such organization goes back to a couple of years earlier. In spite of the term “Eurasia”, the scope should be understood in its broadest term having a global emphasis. EBES aims to improve its ability to bring together worldwide researchers and professionals, encourage intellectual development of scholars and provide network opportunities for conference attendees for making long lasting academic cooperation. To reach its goal, EBES benefits from its advisory board members consisting of well-known academicians all around world and provides publication opportunities. Any scholar or professional interested in economics, finance, and business around the world is welcome to attend EBES conferences, which are held three times a year, and submit their research to EBES journals. Two of those conferences are held in Europe or Asia, and the other is held in Istanbul, Turkey.

Eurasian Studies in Business and Economics
Peer Review Policy.
We believe that our review process plays a critical role to keep the quality and integrity of research papers in the Springer’s Eurasian Studies in Business and Economics series. The series publishes high quality manuscripts from papers presented at the EBES conferences.
After each conference, the series editors send an email to the conference participants with guideline around how and in what format the authors should send their papers. We also share a checklist with the authors. This information includes details about format of title, author details, abstract, figures/tables, headings, references, etc. We also ask participants to make sure that their papers are free of grammatical, spelling, and other common errors.
Once the conference participants submit their research, the series’ Assistant Editor reviews the papers from an editorial perspective such as format, table and figures information, references and bibliography etc. Once the authors fix all these issues, the revised submissions are transferred to the Editors.
The Editors first make sure that the work presented in the manuscripts are well written so that the readers and reviewers could easily and clearly understand the paper. If the manuscript needs improvement, the Editors recommend the authors send their paper to a professional language editing service. If the quality of text is too low, then Editors reject the paper without sending it to reviewers. If the manuscript is well written or needs slight improvement, the Editors send it to reviewers.
The list of reviewers is provided in each of the proceedings books.
We expect the reviewers check if:
- the main question is provided well and addressed
- the research topic relevant and interesting
- the topic is original
- the paper has real contribution to the existing literature
- the paper well written
- is there any data issues
- is the information provided in the paper enough to follow the key findings in the paper
- there is any factual errors or any invalid arguments
- the title of the paper properly reflects the subject of the paper
- the abstract summarizes the paper’s topic and its contribution well etc.
The series is also committed to upholding the integrity of the scientific record. As a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the EBES (Eurasia Business and Economics Society, Istanbul, Turkey, www.ebesweb.org) follows the COPE guidelines on how to deal with potential acts of misconduct. The Editor makes sure that the authors refrain from misrepresenting research results, which could damage the trust in the Series, the professionalism of scientific authorship, and ultimately the entire scientific endeavor. Therefore, prior to the Editors’ final decision to the authors, the series Editors check and clarify research integrity issues such as plagiarism.
